Satisfy their need for speed

Wilcom's full complement of broadband accessories includes central office and customer premise DSL splitters for peak Internet performance of video and other data-rich content.

With increasing demand for faster Internet connections, more bandwidth and bundled services such as Triple Play, service providers have implemented newer DSL technologies such as ADSL2+. Wilcom helps you keep up with higher-performing DSL equipment.

ADSL2+ CPE POTS Splitters

The Wilcom PS-11 ADSL2+ POTS Splitter is a passive low-pass filter designed to provide POTS service in concert with ADSL technology. The device blocks high frequency (20kHz- >2.2MHz) energy from interfering with POTS equipment. The PS-11 employs a low-pass filter for standard voice-grade lines.

The Wilcom PS-11-I2 POTS Splitter is unique because of its convenient mounting location inside the Network Interface Device (NID). The PS-11 is similar in size to a standard station protector and mounts on the Telco side inside the Network Interface Device. The terminal strip allows for easy installation so the installer can simply connect the existing premise wiring to the PHONE terminals on the splitter, and have POTS service up and running within minutes without expensive, and time-consuming rewiring. ATU-R terminals connect directly to the ADSL equipment with existing cable. (Data-grade cabling is recommended for new installations.)

The Wilcom PS-15 ADSL2+ Wall-mount POTS Splitter is a passive lowpass filter designed to provide POTS service in concert with ADSL technology. The device blocks high frequency (20kHz- >2.2MHz) energy from interfering with POTS equipment. The PS-15 employs a low-pass filter for standard voicegrade lines.

The PS-15 is designed to be mounted inside the customer premises near where the phone service enters the building. Two types of connection options are supported by the PS-15 splitter; a standard 6 pole terminal block with screws or RJ jacks. This allows the installer to simply connect the existing premise wiring to the PHONE jack or associated terminals on the splitter, and have POTS service up and running within minutes without expensive and timeconsuming rewiring. An RJ-45 jack or associated terminals connect directly to the ATU-R/MODEM equipment with data-grade cabling.

The Wilcom PS-55 MDx 24 Port Wall Mount POTS Splitter is a passive low-pass filter designed to provide POTS service in concert with ADSL technology. The device blocks high frequency (20kHz-1MHz) energy from interfering with POTS equipment. The PS-55 MDx employs a low-pass filter for standard voice-grade lines.

The PS-55-MDx contains 24 ADSL2+ ports, and can be ordered as a Customer Premise (CPE) Master Splitter or a Central Office (CO) Splitter. Both solutions are ideal for Multi-Dwelling and Multi-Tenant environments.

Each unit is available with BIX type connectors or 110 type connectors for direct wiring connections of the LINE, POTS and DATA connections.

The unique foot-print of the PS-55-MDx is similar in size to a standard M-66 punch down block making it ideal for wall mounting applications.

The DSL Universal POTS Splitter is an advanced external filtering solution specifically designed to filter high frequency DSL noise from analog customer premises equipment by separating the DSL signal from the analog voice signal. The DSL Universal POTS Splitter includes a filtered analog pair for connection to the inside wiring and a DSL pair for connection to the DSL modem, thus allowing analog voice or fax transmission while simultaneously using the DSL line. The DSL Universal POTS Splitter incorporates innovative passive filtering technology, thereby enhancing voice reception and analog data transmission. The DSL Universal POTS Splitter installs on the customer side or network side of the NID via terminal connections or splicing.

VDSL2 CPE POTS Splitters

The Wilcom PS-32 VDSL2 POTS Splitter is a passive low-pass filter designed to provide POTS service in concert with DSL technology. The device blocks high frequency (20kHz - >30MHz) energy from interfering with POTS equipment. The PS-32 employs a low-pass filter for standard voice-grade lines.

The Wilcom PS-32 POTS Splitter is unique because of its convenient mounting location inside the Network Interface Device (NID). The PS-32 is ideally suited for video over DSL applications such as IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) over ADSL2+ or VDSL2. The PS-32 includes robust ring-trip protection for non-zero cross ringers to eliminate video artifacts due to pixelization.
The PS-32 is similar in size to a standard station protector and mounts on the Telco side inside the Network Interface Device. The terminal strip allows for easy installation so the installer can simply connect the existing premise wiring to the PHONE terminals on the splitter, and have POTS service up and running within minutes without expensive, and time-consuming rewiring. ATU-R terminals connect directly to the DSL equipment with existing cable. (Data-grade cabling is recommended for new installations.)

The Wilcom PS-36 Master Splitter is a passive low-pass filter designed to provide POTS service in concert with VDSL2 technology. The device blocks high frequency (20kHz-30MHz) energy from interfering with voice equipment and prevents POTS noise from causing data errors on the xDSL connection. The PS-36 is backwards compatible with all xDSL systems.

The Wilcom PS-36 is ideally suited for video over xDSL applications such as IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) by providing robust ringtrip protection for non-zero coss ringers to eliminate video pixelization during off-hook and ring-trip events.

The PS-36 can be easily mounted inside the customer premises where the phone service enters the building. Two types of connection options are supported by the PS-36 splitter: a screw-type terminal block and standard RJ jacks. This allows the installer to simply connect the existing premise wiring to the PHONE connector or RJ jack on the splitter, and have POTS service up and running within minutes without expensive and time-consuming rewiring. A "home-run" connection with data-grade cable is recommended direct to the xDSL modem from the ATU-R/MODEM connection on the splitter.

xDSL CO POTS Splitter Shelves

The PS-4101 1U Shelf is only 1.75" tall and may be equipped with up to 2 DSL Splitter cards for a total of 48 ports. The shelf can be mounted in 19 or 23 inch racks using the included adapters. The wide spectrum of operation makes this shelf ideal for triple play delivery with ADSL2+ or VDSL2. The PS-4101 delivers excellent port-to-port cross talk isolation for maximum data rates; and the 1U design is ideal for compact installations.
The PS-4103 3U Shelf is only 5.25" tall and may be equipped with up to 6 DSL Splitter cards for a total of 144 ports.

The PS-4103 can be mounted in 19 or 23 inch racks using the included adapters. The wide spectrum of operation makes this shelf ideal for triple play delivery with ADSL2+ or VDSL2. The PS-4103 delivers excellent port-to-port cross talk isolation for maximum data rates; and the 3U design is ideal for compact installations.

Wilcom’s PS-4401 1RU-96 Port Shelf is the industries highest density ADSL2+ POTS splitter in a one rack-unit design. This 96 port 1 RU design along with Wilcom’s proven performance makes it the perfect Central Office splitter. The high-density, temperature hardened splitter also has the addition of common mode protection creating the perfect splitter for remote cabinets.

The unique design of the PS-4401 shelf allows multiple PS-4401 shelves to be stacked together creating higher density units such as a 288 port 3U shelf which can be specified at time of ordering.

The PS-4401 is designed with the DSL connection located at the front of the shelf, and POTS and LINE interfaces in the rear. These connections are standard 50 pin Amphenol type. This unique design separates the DSL and voice connections from a common backplane significantly reducing crosstalk critical to video delivery.

The DSL connection on the front of each module is complimentary to evolving ETSI standards recommending DSL connections on the front of DSLAMs. This installation flexibility produces savings in time and expense, and is achieved by simply running a short jumper cable rather than dressing the cable down the back to the existing splitter.
